THE GIG

You will be viewed as “The Source” for all things media related. You inspire the proper content and context to help build the brand story. Develop, execute, measure and optimize multi-channel paid, owned, and earned digital content marketing distribution, syndication, and amplification strategies.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Planning/Strategy

  • Lead the creation of media objectives and strategies
  • Provide strategic direction on specific initiatives aimed to increase digital reach among the target audience and improve overall marketing strategies
  • Identify appropriate digital media platforms and channels to leverage including, but not limited to, paid search, display, paid social, native advertising, and retargeting
  • Recommend and implement plans for paid media, content syndication, amplification, and blogger outreach as part of content marketing programs

 

Partner Relations

 

  • Manage external partner relationships, creating best practice ways of working and measures of accountability

 

Industry Insights

  • Evaluate new media types/outlets and provide strategic input
  • Compile reports of competitive market/media information for the brand/category
  • Conduct audience, industry, and competitive research to inform media strategies and initiatives

 

Reporting

  • Create and maintain media plan flowcharts and media buy authorizations based on various initiatives
  • Maintain media bugets and media spent summaries
  • Work with our digital analyst to create monthly media reports with analysis of performance of campaigns, along with strategic recommendations for continual improvement

 

Execution

  • Negotiate, purchase, and maintain media insertions to secure competitive rates and added value
  • Set up digital campaigns to meet business objectives
  • Track performance and optimize media campaigns with respect to bid management, landing page and creative testing, keyword and ad copy analysis, ad schedules, etc. and work with creative team to change out as necessary

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • 5-8 years' experience in digital media strategy, buying and content distribution
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Understanding of print campaign creative development and design process
  • Strong paid search, display, paid social, and retargeting knowledge
  • Operates efficiently in a dynamic environment and can switch focus based on company priorities
  • Experience with digital advertising platforms, campaign management/ad serving technology, including Google AdWords, Google Analytics, and the DoubleClick platform suite.
  • A passion for designing content distribution strategies
  • A self-starter who wants to be judged on delivering results
  • Loves people, a team environment and is a clear communicator
