    The Report Developer Analyst serves as a vital point of contact for business customers requiring information for the purpose of maintaining and improving business operations, and making mission-critical decisions.  They will analyze, create and maintain a multitude of reports for various business units throughout the organization and be integral in helping to maintain the overall health of the data organization within the company. This is a fast pace and technical position that requires database development expertise.

    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

    • Coordinate and facilitate requirements, analysis, design and development of reports as directed by leadership.
    • Adhere to established development and report presentation standards.
    • Participate in the development and implementation of processes that improve efficiency and enhance data storage and usability.
    • Work with customers to identify and document requirements and reporting challenges.
    • Actively support clients in performing ad-hoc and what-if analysis.
    • Highly organized to keep track of report requirements, deliverables and their related priority, and be able to handle concurrent projects.
    • Demonstrate the ability to work individually on report development assignments from start to finish with little or no supervision.
    • Demonstrate strong team work skills and capability to learn business processes quickly.
    • Identify potential problems before they occur and communicate or respond appropriately.
    • Work with clients to establish delivery timelines. Maintain appropriate levels of communication about progress.  Notify all parties involved when schedule impacts occur.
    • Perform and troubleshoot technical tasks necessary for successful development and testing sessions.
    • Inquisitive:  asks "Why" or "How does this work" in the spirit of expanding understanding of our business processes and technical systems. 
    • Actively participate and share ideas openly when trying to generate solutions to reporting problems. Understand that no idea is a bad idea during a brainstorming session.  Respect input from others.
    • Demonstrate basic testing skills, identify and document test cases that prove the report satisfies business and technical requirements.
    • Develop, enhance and maintain reports using SQL Server Reporting Services in an Enterprise Reporting and Data Warehouse environment.

    WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

    Required:

    • 2+ years of experience in T-SQL development.  Strong comprehension of database objects, relational data models, and database development tools, preferably in a SQL Server environment.
    • Must be proficient in data analysis and be able to transfer data across multiple applications.
    • 2-4 years’ experience creating reporting content with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), or similar reporting tools, within an Enterprise Reporting and Data Warehouse environment
    • Must be able to create and maintain user defined Procedures and Functions.
    • Must have a strong understanding of relational databases and experience working and developing within a Data Warehouse environment.
    • Experience providing candid code review/peer feedback, and performing tuning efforts on queries for efficiency

    Preferred:

    • BS or BA degree in business or computer science, or 4+ years in the field or related area recommended.
    • Knowledge of the mortgage banking industry and loan origination lifecycle is preferred.
    • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access, MS Project is a strong plus
