    The Paralegal assists leaders on the Legal/Compliance team by performing a variety of legal support duties, including assisting Operations when legal or contractual interpretations arise (e.g., reviewing trusts; divorce decrees, leases; stock compensation, etc.) conducting research, preparing and reviewing pleadings, contracts and other documents, and tracking subpoenas.


    • Reviewing legal documents including pleadings, contracts, judgements, leases, trust agreements and assignments
    • Reviewing and monitoring subpoenas
    • Researching and analyzing law sources such as statutes, regulations, judicial decisions, and legal articles
    • Handling guideline issues that have legal nuances, including trusts, leases, and stock compensation issues
    • Preparing written correspondence with outside counsel and other third-parties, including responses to complaints
    • Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
    • Editing legal documents for accuracy
    • Assisting with Legal/Compliance trainings
    • Assisting with issues related to MERS, servicing, marketing reviews, settlement agent oversight, title claims, and intellectual property issues
    • Supporting with licensing issues and regulatory filings
    • Performing clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, providing information to callers, and composing and typing routine correspondence
    • Other duties as assigned


    • Have experience performing legal research
    • Have knowledge of the litigation and subpoena process
    • Have knowledge of the contracting process and standard elements of a contract
    • Have a commitment to continuous business improvement
    • Have a bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant job experience



    • Be capable of working closely with internal clients and outside counsel
    • Have effective planning, organizational and project management skills
    • Be able to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively
    • Have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
    • Have excellent written and communication skills
    • Have the ability to work independently
    • Have critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
    • Be self-motivated and able to work well in a team based environment
